Sorry

A singular image, with all the details taken in an incomplete (the book of sacred readings, the black hat) but enough to make to understand that it is a time of prayer and solemnity. In the middle, highlighted by the color that stands out from the black surrounding the eyes of a child among adults. Although this detail is partial, that look conveys the mood of the child and goes straight and intense observer.
This photo is a classic example of how one can do without a wide angle showing the whole scene, and represent equally well – with a few simple elements – an event and the relations between it and the people who participate.

Kadırga-istanbul 2012

The road, a ball and the usual kids. But in this photo Faruken Bayraktare took a peculiar aspect: not the usual run of disordered many legs for the ball, but the singular relationship between “one” child and the balloon. The others are spectators, not participating in the game, and each shows a different attitude: Some people are sitting, perhaps because they are less good at virtuosity, some people are ready to take over, there are those who are standing but with a passive behavior. And different states are well diversified by the different position that the photographer has assigned to them in the frame: the main actor in the foreground and then gradually more distant others, in relation to the role they are having with the game

What caused the expression of the child in the foreground? It is not clear if it is surprise, fear, whether this is due to an external event or if it is a result of thoughts that the “blending” in the head. Rami Yemini gives us an image full of mystery, and probably that’s what makes it particularly fascinating.(rewiew by Carlo Traina)

Who knows what is intrigued by the “Child with guitar”? The cut of the photo does not allow us to understand, and this “mystery” is one of the things that make the photo interesting and enjoyable.
Perfect choice of the frame from the bottom, with the wide angle that puts strong emphasis on child and guitar. It ‘s just guitar to emphasize the peculiarity of the situation: how many children we see a lot of photos flying around the ball? Here, however, looking at the picture, we realize that there are also small Jimi Hendrix. Wonderful expression captured the seriousness of the child: if the guitar is not a toy, one would believe that he is going to perform for a concert.
