In early 900 the Statue of Liberty was the first image of ‘”America” that appeared to emigrants in search of fortune overseas. There are countless pictures in black and white, creased and faded, taken in those early years. Photos showing figures humble and tired faces on ships, with on the background the Statue of Liberty.
Looking at the photo of Gabi Ben, you can not avoid having to remember those pictures, and note the extreme contrast between them. Strong colors and net, cameras instead of cardboard suitcases, cured and tanned bodies.
